* Daddy's * Girl *

I have to admit that at the beginning of the summer I was a bit jealous. I had been the apple of her eye for an entire year while John was slaving away at school and  I never thought that things would be the same again. Boy was I wrong. She is more of a 'daddy's girl' now then EVER before. It makes my heart sing. I never had a father (till my mom married my wonderful step father in 4th grade) growing up so I always wondered what the father daughter dynamic was like. I LOVE what I see. It is beautiful. They are two peas in a pod. I do however worry about this coming August when life will be flipped upside down again. All I can say is that I am so thankful for the memories and pictures. I love both of them so much and appreciate the relationship incredibly. I think when you don't have something crucial yourself, them you SO want that for your children. I always said that I wanted to marry a man that would be an incredible father. I got that times 1000. He is an amazing father and wonderful partner to me. I basically hit the lottery - and for that I am thankful.
