Summer so far!

We have been having a great summer so far. We have had lots of fun filled days in the South Carolina sun.

Our first fun began at the beach house in Myrtle Beach, SC. My sister Erika, her husband Matt, and their son Xander came all the way from Southern California to join us for the week. My mom even flew in and surprised us all from Japan. We were not expecting that at all! It was a fantastic time with family and the kids had a blast on the beach. We had great food, fireworks, family time, beach time, and lots of shopping. We always enjoy it there. We love Weebees! Unfortunatley, I do not have many pictures from the trip. We honestly had so much fun, I forgot to snap pics of the memories. Sad...but I will do a much better job for the rest of summer.

After the beach house we headed to Hampton, SC to spend a few days with the Pierson side of the family. Our niece Cate and nephew Caleb were there which was a hit with Brinley. They are such close cousins. I am so happy that they are getting to grow up together. We made a make shift water park in the front yard for the kids to enjoy and cool down from the heat. Talk about a blast. They ran around and sliped and slided for ever. John's Dad took us out on his boat one day also. We went down to Beaufort and found a private island to hang out on for the day. That was such a fun time. My personal favorite was the tubing. I felt like I was 10 years old again.

The rest of the summer has been spent at my grandparents house around the pool. John has been busy though working on a project for Nana and Papa. He is reconstructing the bank on the side of the house next to the creek. It has been a victim of erosion so John has his engineering brain on and has been working like crazy trying to save it. Let's not mention that he has shoveled 2 dump truck loads of clay by himself trying to fill it in. I will get pictures of the wall he built and fill in he has done. He is such a hard worker. The one thing nobody can ever say about John is that he is lazy. Even on his time off he is working. Hopefully the project will be a success.

We have a busy rest of the month coming up. Aunt Inez's 90th Birthday party is on Saturday, Father's Day is Sunday. The next Thursday is Aunt Terri's graduation from radiography school, and then on Saturday is her parents BIG 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Then we have the Pierson Family Reunion the following weekend. After that we are finally going to head back to TN and that is where we will be for the rest of the summer. Basically we are spending June in SC and July in TN. We hope everyone else is enjoying their summer!
