Where did the time go?

I'm doing Brinley's birthday post today because the rest of this week will be hectic and we are having her party on her actual birthday (this Saturday) so I'm worried I won't get around to it if I don't do it now.

Brinley,
Where do I even start? First off I love you with all of my heart. You are truly 'my girl'. I could never imagine what the world would even be like without you in it. I thank Heavenly Father every day that you made it through a complicated pregnancy and were born a perfect healthy little girl. I will never forget your tiny little face and 7 lb body. You were 19 1/2 inches long and had the most hair I had ever seen on a new baby. It was jet black and stood straight up!  I instantly fell in love with you and so did Daddy. We have entered a whole new realm of life with you now and I am cherishing every second of it. I love how special our relationship is but I want you to learn that it is okay for me to be out of your sight for a few seconds. I always come back! I am endeared by the fact that you have 'mommyitis' but I really want you to spread your wings and fly. Not too far away from me but just far enough to where you will have some experiences and make memories without me. I am so excited for you to start K3 this fall. You are going to do so well. Brinley, I hope you always stay the sweet little girl that you are. You are always so thoughtful, caring and kind. Daddy and I knew you were special when you were born but we had no idea just how lucky we were going to be to have you as a daughter. We love how concerned you are about others and how exuberant you are about life. I love watching as you sing, dance and twirl your way through your days. It is delightful to see. I guess the bottom line is that I am so thankful that you are mine and that you are happy in our family. Continue to grow, progress, and excel! Just not too fast....okay? I love you little girl.
Love,
Mommy
