Thanksgiving 2011

This year was a different Thanksgiving for me. In fact this was the first Thanksgiving in my life that I have not been with my family. John's school scheduled an exam for this Monday which meant going home was out of the question. However, we got to stay here and have dinner with our friends. It was wonderful! The Sowbys's hosted ALL of us in their home and we had a ton of food. Everyone was assigned different dishes and everyone was to bring their favorite dessert. I think we ended up with like 10 pies! It was crazy but oh so yummy. My favorite was Amber Grover's Lemon Merangue pie. I liked it so much they let me bring half of one home! Score!

All in all the day was awesome! The kids all had a great time playing and the adults had a great time talking and eating (a lot). I would give this Thanksgiving a 10!
